Community Supported Art

The NWTC Artisan Center Residency 2024 cohort’s limited edition of Community Supported Art (CSA) boxes are now available for pre-order! The CSA box features a sampler of five pieces of “locally grown” original artwork from the current Northeast Wisconsin-based artists-in-residence.

You can pre-order these items now and pick them up during our Collective Growth show at the Art Garage on Thursday July 11th at 5pm. They will also be available for pickup after the event at the NWTC Artisan Center.

*Please note: We strive to be earth-friendly! To lessen our ecological impact we’ll use sustainable and recycled packaging when we’re able.

DIY Watercolor

Kit by Rachel Kmecheck: This DIY watercolor kit includes 3 original line drawings by Rachel printed on watercolor paper, along with the paints and brushes you need! Get creative and paint it yourself using the included watercolor swatches. Rachel’s business, Modern Medieval Press, brings us original modern art inspired by medieval motifs.

Ceramic Bowl

By Josh Sommers: This skillfully created ceramic bowl is the perfect size for a few scoops of ice cream. Josh uses his finely tuned wheel throwing pottery skills to throw functional pottery. He is part of the Birds in Clay Ceramics team that makes thoughtfully crafted handmade clayware.

Fused Glass

Suncatcher by Beth Rathburn: Decorate a sunny window with a beautiful and colorful fused glass suncatcher nature scene design by Beth. Beth owns Sisters’ Glass Art, which offers a variety of fused glass ornaments, suncatchers, bowls, plates, and yard stakes.

Ceramic Feather

By Liz Sommers: Bring inspiration and lightness to your space with a delicate handmade ceramic feather by Liz. She specializes in hand built ceramics with beautiful surface decoration, and is also a part of the Birds in Clay Ceramics team.

Botanically Dyed Silk

Handkerchief by Lauren Wojcik: Lauren captures the ephemeral beauty of plants and flowers in her botanically dyed silk handkerchiefs. Her business, Lauren Jane Workshop, showcases the variety of mediums she works in, including ceramics, jewelry, fiber art, and collage.
